"We had a great October report, which will reflect positively in November 2025 Payroll. We undertook some much needed reforms in June 2025 and thankfully, this November month’s payroll should reflect the effects positively as this is the first time our Cost of Sales was under 40%. I truly want to thank you all for your continued efforts and it hasn’t gone unnoticed.What was observed: We had been needlessly wasting money on market purchases, money that could help bolster staff welfare collectively, due to wastages and misuse of inventory and equipments observed in some departments for many months and even years. Now with the current state of the Nigerian economy, it made sense to address this to enable everyone take home a better pay. The reform undertook was the best way envisioned to address this. Please note that we are nowhere near our goal but I believe in due course, we’ll get there.Jabi team did well with an occupancy achieving 63% and a guest rating of 9.05 (incredible!). Although Jabi didn’t meet the target revenue, they were able to meet 4 out of 5 metrics.Utako did alright with an occupancy of 47% with an average guest rating of 8.29 (our goal target is 9). Utako was able to meet 2 out of 5 metrics. Here’s to hoping that we continue to strive to ensure our guests are treated to a memorable experience as this should be the easiest metric to win and thereby help with your service charge payout.Friendly Advice: The next time you think of using guest amenities personally, (for example the tea in their room) because they didn’t use it, think of how it may affect the group cost of sales when we have to spend money to replace it."  - MD
